Statistical Analysis of the Amnestied pre-trial/convicted inmates Released by Amnesty Act

According to may 15 data, in total 10 104 pre-trial /convicted inmates were held in, detention facilities that is 13 554 (by 57,3%) less than in May 15, 2012 – 23658 According to information of the Ministry of Corrections and Legal Assistance of Georgia (MCLA), 1 pre-trial/convicted inmates were released from penitentiary establishments on May 15,2013 Based  on May 15 data, in total, 8692 pre-trial/convicted inmates were released from penitentiary establishments across the entire territory of the country,175 political prisoners, 426 female adults (penitentiary Establishment #2-5, Penitentiary Establishment #3-4 and penitentiary Establishment#5 - 417 ) and 25 male juveniles (Penitentiary Establishment #8-6, Penitentiary Establishment #11-12, Penitentiary Establishment #17-6, Penitentiary Establishment #18-1) pre-trial /convicted inmates.
