The National Service of Execution of Non-Custodial Sentences and Probation is the legal entity of public law within the jurisdiction of the Ministry of Corrections and Legal Assistance of Georgia which was set up on the basis of the law of Georgia “On Procedure of Execution of Non-Custodial Sentences and Probation”.
The main goal of the National Probation Agency is execution of non-custodial sentences, controlling probation officers' work, coordination and organizational support.
The National Probation Agency is mostly oriented on re-socialization and rehabilitation of probationers, as well as crime prevention. International community and non-governmental sector is actively involved in the above-mentioned process.
